Epcot Flower & Garden Festival 2018 Complete Guide – Food Menus, Topiary List and Concert Lineup

Events Coverage

The 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, the 25th year of the event, is taking place February 28th through May 28th this year. We’ve got the full food menus, topiary and garden locations, and Garden Rocks concert lineup below! Admission to the event is free with your entry into Epcot, although some experiences require a separate fee. These include garden tours and dining packages.

New and creative dishes will debut at 15 Outdoor Kitchens encircling the World Showcase Promenade. Each Outdoor Kitchen will feature its own raised-bed or in-ground garden of herbs and produce that can inspire the growing numbers of guests who want to learn to grow what they eat. A bonanza of Disney character topiaries, including classic-character favorites Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and many others, will play a starring festival role. Brand-new Future World interactive play gardens and new games will set the pace for family festival fun.

The popular Garden Rocks Concert Series will feature hit makers of the 1960s, ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s on the America Gardens Theatre stage. Three evening concerts each Friday through Monday present musicians that span multiple genres. What began in 1994 as a 38-day celebration of Disney-style gardens and topiaries has grown over the years to a 90-day spring extravaganza with something for every generation.

Festival Merchandise for 2018

A garden of more than 75 items was created for this year’s annual event. New headwear, such as the Mouse-eared baseball cap, contain nods to Spaceship Earth, while the flower-covered headband is reminiscent of the millions of blooms guests will see at Epcot.

“This year’s merchandise mixes the latest on-trend designs with products we know guests love such as headwear or home décor,” said event product developer Cathy Dawson. “Since this year is a milestone anniversary, everything has a new look and many items include a 25th Anniversary logo in the artwork. There’s something for everyone to remember a springtime visit to Epcot.”

Cathy partnered with Disney Creative Group artists when creating four art collections that complement the Festival’s overall design. She referenced an artwork style guide during the design process so the products have a consistent look when displayed throughout the park.

The “Mickey’s Grove” collection with Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and Orange Bird contains a harvested assortment of apparel, accessories, home décor, and more. The lovable purple dragon Figment “unearths the unexpected” in the “Figment Discovers” collection with apparel, drinkware, and garden statuary. The “Fresh Epcot” collection has brightly colored picks of the season from a simple pocket t-shirt to collectible pins.

“My favorite collection is ‘Minnie’s Farmhouse Flower Shop’ as the adorable artwork of Minnie Mouse with her cat Figaro captures the essence of spring,” continued Cathy. Annual Passholders attending the event will find a variety of Passholder Exclusive products including drinkware by Tervis, pins, apparel, and a handbag by Dooney & Bourke.

Additional Dooney & Bourke handbags with images of Minnie Mouse and Figaro will be available. Please note the wallet will be released at a future date during the Festival.

When the Festival kicks off on February 28, we are releasing two limited-edition retail MagicBands. The Mickey Mouse-themed one has an edition size of 2,000 and is packaged in an orange-scented box. The Passholder Exclusive MagicBand also has an edition size of 2,000 and complements other Figment products created for the event. One additional MagicBand will be released at a future date during the Festival. Packaged in a box that smells like flowers, the Minnie Mouse-inspired item has an edition size of 1,000.

Festival Scavenger Hunts

An all-new scavenger hunt will be joining the returning Egg-stravaganza for this year’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. The new hunt is called Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration, and it will feature the little lovable honey bee, Spike.

Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration

From February 28 through May 28, gardeners of all ages are invited to participate in a springtime scavenger hunt starring Spike, Disney’s favorite honey bee. It’s easy to start this new scavenger hunt. Just pick up a garden map and stickers at Port of Entry. Then, it’s time to look for Spike!

As you explore the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, be on the lookout for Spike as he pollinates Epcot’s gardens. In each garden, you’ll have to search for the plant Spike has pollinated, identifiable by Spike himself and a Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration plant stake. Once you find him, add the corresponding sticker to your map.

After your journey is complete, return your map for a springtime surprise. Maps and stickers for Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration can be purchased for $5.99 at Port of Entry.

Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt

From March 16 through April 1, guests visiting the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival can participate in the Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt – hunting high and low in World Showcase for “eggs” that portray favorite Disney characters.

As you find the hidden Disney Character-themed “eggs” in the park, you record your discoveries by placing a corresponding sticker on a specially themed Egg-stravaganza map. Maps and stickers can be purchased for $5.99 from Disney Trader, Pin Central, or World Traveler.

When you find all of the “eggs” and complete your scavenger hunt map, you then return it to Disney Traders for a sp-egg-tacular surprise.

We hope this guide helps you to prepare for the event! If you spot any inaccuracies or have any questions please contact us. All images Copyright Disney, unless otherwise noted.
