Theme Park Inspired Island Tunes for Animal Crossing New Horizons

With the theme parks and other entertainment venues currently closed temporarily, many of us have turned to the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons video game to help pass the time. One of the ways you can inject a little theme park magic into the game is by modifying your island’s tune.

The Island Tune is the little jingle that plays every time you speak to a resident or animal visitor to your island, as well as when the clock strikes a new hour, and more. To change your Island Tune speak with Isabelle at Resident Services. Just select the option to “change island tune.” Here’s a collection of some of the best fan-made theme park tunes I’ve seen so far. (And reply with your own if you’d like it to be added to the list!)

JAWS

I’ll start with the tune I’ve chosen for my island, which I have named “Amity.” You probably already know that I was a big fan of the JAWS ride, and even did a stint as a JAWS skipper back in the day. That’s why the theme from Amity Island was perfect for my town.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

When I shared my Amity Island Tune on Twitter, I received some responses with more Universal Studios inspired jingles, like this one for ET!

Jurassic Park

And keeping the John Williams theme park scores going, here’s a wonderful rendition of the Jurassic Park theme you can use for your island.

Harry Potter

Bring the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to your island with this beautiful recreation of Hedwig’s Theme from the film series.

The Simpsons

And here’s one that’s kind of both Universal AND Disney, The Simpson’s theme!

Carousel of Progress

Moving over to the house of mouse, there are plenty of Walt Disney World and Disneyland inspired Island Tunes around as well. Here’s a perfect rendition of “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” from Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. An island tune from the World’s Fair now inside of a video game? Well, that’s progress for you!

Haunted Mansion

One of the best spots to locate hundreds of fan-made Island Tunes is over at NookNet! They have a tool that allows you to create an Island Tune right on your computer or mobile device, and then you can share them with the internet! Here’s a simple one showcasing the into to theme from Haunted Mansion.

And here’s another stanza from the Grim Grinning Ghosts song at the Haunted Mansion.

Journey Into Imagination

Imagination is a BLAST! Here’s a little piece of One Little Spark from Journey Into Imagination with Figment.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me! Be sure to find the skull and crossbones door decor for your home for the complete pirate experience!

it’s a small world

The classics never die, and this song will go on and on and on forever! However, this particular rendition found on NookNet is absolutely spot on, so give it a try.

Star Wars

Looking for a more modern take on the Disney Parks experience? Look no further than the themes from Star Wars. Here’s a pretty good variation of the Imperial March, in case you were looking for something foreboding on your island.

Of course, one of the best parts of choosing this song, is getting to hear Isabelle humming it after you input it!

For a little more positive Star Wars music, you could use the main theme’s melody.

Personally, I think The Force Theme makes for a great short jingle though, perfect for an Island Tune.

Now, these are just a small sampling of the amazing and creative works coming from theme park fans around the world!
