The Rumored “Fantastic Worlds” of Universal Orlando’s 4th Gate – Rumor Mill

So far, the only confirmation from the company of a new theme park was a brief mention on the latest Comcast earnings call when NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke mentioned that they are “looking at” adding another gate to their Orlando resort with the intention of “turning Florida from a two, or three-day destination, to potentially a week-long destination.” Over the last few years Universal Orlando has been acquiring hundreds acres of land south of the current resort, and in recent months permits have been filed for the first phase of construction to prepare the largest section of that land for development. With a new theme park possibly on the horizon, it’s of course time to put our ears to the Rumor Mill and see what we can find churning!
