Jurassic World VelociCoaster Merchandise Fills Gift Shops Ahead of Grand Opening

Alicia Stella Theme Park News

Jurassic World VelociCoaster is set to open this summer at Universal Orlando, but today is a great day to get excited for this highly anticipated new attraction.

Not only have the walls come down around the so-called ‘raptor paddock” area of the ride, allowing guests to peer into the ride like never before, but a slew of new VelociCoaster branded merchandise has hit the gift shops around the park. Check out the complete lineup of items currently available, along with pricing, below!

We’ll start with some items that were apparently put on the shelves a bit too early, as all of the items with the words “Grand Opening 2021” on them have been taken back down.

A limited edition shirt, pin, and lanyard pouch were originally in stores this morning, but by the afternoon they had been taken away. I’m told these items will be returning, as they were just mistakenly put out too soon.

Shirt with the words “Grand Opening 2021” that was only temporarily available today, $25

Grand Opening limited edition pin that will hopefully be returning soon, $14

Grand Opening lanyard pouch that is currently not available, $5

Many new shirts and a hooded sweater for the VelociCoaster are now available for purchase, (and these are still available at this time). There are several designs in adult sizes, and a few different designs in child sizes.

Some of the shirts include additional graphics on the back, including a couple with coaster stats.

Tank top version of the same shirt, $27

The kids’ designs feature some fun graphics, including one that says “More Teeth,” like the line in the Jurassic World film, and another with the line “Must Go Faster,” as heard in the original Jurassic Park film.

Child size T-Shirts, Must Go Faster $25, Chaos Happens $30

Kids stats shirt, $28

Annual Passholders can also pick up a special UOAP shirt too, but you’re required to show your pass before purchasing.

Mugs and shot glasses are available. The mug features coaster stats while the shot glass says “What Could Go Wrong” on it.

Shot glass $9

There is a keychain and matching collectible pin available for purchase, as well as three-piece mini pin kit. You can also get a two-piece magnet set, a lanyard, and a pair of coaster stats socks!

2-Piece magnet set $12

Lanyard $12, Socks $17

You can find all of these items, along with other Jurassic Park and Jurassic World branded merchandise at Jurassic Outfitters (River Adventure exit gift shop), as well as the Islands of Adventure Trading Company (main gift shop at the front of the park).

Some select items can also be found at the smaller gift shops around Jurassic Park, including the kiosk near the raptor paddock across from Raptor Encounter.

Many of these items will soon be available for purchase on the official Universal Orlando online store. Click here for a complete listing. In addition to the items that were put into the stores at the park today, a VelociCoaster hat and tumbler are now available online. These are expected to show up in stores soon.

Now that the work walls have come down and we can get our best look yet into the coaster area, many are wondering if we could see soft opens or some other type of previews ahead of the official grand opening.

It is still too early to know for sure when and if this new ride will have previews, but stay tuned to the website and we will let you know as soon as we hear anything!

The Jurassic World VelociCoaster does not yet have an official opening date, but Universal Orlando says it will open this summer!
