It’s only been a week since our last construction update for the work being done for the new nighttime lagoon show at Universal Studios Florida, but in that short time a lot has happened. First, thanks to reporter Chip Skambis we now how confirmation that a permanent viewing area is being constructed for the show in the Central Park area overlooking the lagoon. Also, the first sets of show fountains have been installed on the underwater platform in the middle of the lagoon.
The new nighttime show is replacing the now closed Cinematic Spectacular, and it is expected to debut this summer. The new show will feature colorful fountains, projections, and pyrotechnic effects. It is rumored to also include projection mapping and maybe even drones, however we do not yet have confirmation of those elements. Check out the new photo report to see the current progress for the show as well as permit images below for the full scope of the project. And stay tuned for more theme park news and updates coming soon!
