The all new Fast & Furious – Supercharged ride at Universal Studios Florida has soft opened, allowing regular park visitors to preview the attraction for the first time. The ride had been holding Team Member previews since Wednesday, April 11th, but today marks the first time that anyone at the park is allowed to ride. The work walls came down around the area just yesterday, which was a good indication that ride testing was nearly ready for the public.
During a soft opening, or technical rehearsal as Universal calls it, certain effects or elements may not be in operation. This is a testing phase for the ride as well as for Team Members working the attraction. With this new attraction utilizing Virtual Line, the return time features may be tested as well. There are no guarantees that the ride will be open when you visit during soft openings. We’re expecting the ride to officially grand open in early May.
