On a brisk November Florida morning I was able to grab some more pictures of the construction progress at Project 340 in Islands of Adventure. Things are moving right along as the wall continues to be completed along the front. The building has already grown 20% wider since I last saw it, bringing it all the way behind the Thunder Falls Terrace restaurant now. You can see new steel arriving and being assembled along the front wall. My guess is this will be the skeleton for the massive amount of rock-work and temple facade we can expect for this structure. There are many footers in place surrounding the front of the building where the facade will most likely be installed. Check out the pictures below from today’s update.
Construction Update Photos:
Entering the area
You can see what appears to be supports for the temple facade/rock-work leaning against the structure
The wall is being finished off with some siding, similar to the exterior of the Gringotts building
Many think this opening will be where the ride vehicle enters the building from outside. You can see more facade supports laying on the ground too.
Another view of the opening in the wall, with the new facade supports on the left
After entering the building it gets very very tall, into a big open area. Maybe the opening is meant to be a cave or gate and then the illusion of being outside again is created in the larger part of the structure.
Looking at the building from the Jurassic Park walkway
The right side of the structure is very new, just recently added, and still growing!
New steel beams and siding arriving every day to keep the behemoth growing.
The view from Jurassic Park
The structure is now clearly visible behind Thunder Falls in Jurassic Park
