With Halloween Horror Nights starting next month, work is speeding up on getting the event’s Scare Zones set up around Universal Studios Florida.
Despite only 5 haunted houses announced so far, and none of these Scare Zones officially announced, the park is already starting to feel like the event could start any day! Let’s take a look around each of the areas under construction in this photo update. Plus, see the video below for some footage around these area.
Even outside of the park, lighting is starting to go up for the event near the iconic arches.
Inside of the park, the Scare Zone being assembled in Production Central between Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem and Shrek 4D features the return of the Halloween Horror Nights entry sign arch. The Scare Zone celebrates many of the event’s icons through thirty years.
In the New York area of the park, large set pieces and banners warning that “The Controller is Watching” have arrived, as well as large barrels filled with a red liquid.
In the San Francisco section of the park a Scare Zone expected to be based on characters featured on Crypt TV is being constructed.
The Scare Zone for Central Park is just starting to be set up. So far only lighting and audio equipment appears to have arrived. The speakers will later be covered in themed elements, so must be placed first. Also, what could be a fog machine is placed under a tarp in the area.
And so far, nothing has been set up for the Hollywood area Scare Zone.
You can however, purchase preview merchandise for the event at the shop between Horror Make-Up Show and The Bourne Stuntacular. There are several T-Shirts available, glasses, socks, buttons and more for sale.
That’s all for now, but be sure to check out the video for additional visuals around these areas. And stay tuned for more Halloween Horror Nights 30 announcements and news as we get closer to the event’s start date next month!
