Yesterday morning the world was allowed to enter the brand new water theme park, Volcano Bay, after years of hard work and dedication by the teams at Universal Orlando. This new park is built right next door to Universal’s Cabana Bay and is replacing the now closed Wet ‘n Wild water park, which used to sit across I-4.
Universal put on an incredible opening ceremony to celebrate the grand opening. Media and passholders lined the shore of Waturi Beach to witness this grand event. Performers from around the world, as as far away as New Zealand, shared a bit of their culture with traditional songs and dance. See highlights from the event in the video and photos below, and check out our complete guide to Volcano Bay to learn tips and tricks before your first visit!
