Universal Orlando confirmed today that Animal Actors On Location! will have its last shows on Monday, November 2nd, closing permanently starting Tuesday, November 3rd.

Universal says the long-running show will be closing to make way for a future experience, although no details were revealed just yet.

The show was part of Universal Studios Florida’s opening day roster, although it was called the “Animal Actors Stage” for the first decade of its run.

Now, more than 36 years later, this long-running live show will be taking a bow for the last bow wow time.

The Orlando location will be the final version of the show to close. Animal Actors closed at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023 to make way for the Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift roller coaster. It closed in Universal Studios Japan back in 2011.

The show has long featured animal look-a-likes (and actual co-stars) from popular film characters like Babe, Beethoven, Max the dog from The Grinch, and Frank the Pug from Men in Black.

You only have two more months to enjoy the show before it closes up for good starting November 3rd.

Universal states that they will work closely with their show vendor to ensure the animals are relocated, ensuring they receive the continued care they deserve.

The show was previously part of the Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone, before it was replaced with DreamWorks Land in 2024. Now it resides in Hollywood, according to the Universal Studios Florida official map.

Theme park fans are curious if the soon-to-be empty theater could become part of the nearby DreamWorks Land, or if it will remain part of Hollywood when it is replaced with a new experience.

Universal says “More details about the future development of the space will be shared at a later time.”

For now, we have Orlando’s version of the Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift still under construction elsewhere in the park, set to open next year in 2027. Fast & Furious Supercharged recently closed, but no official replacement has been announced for that space yet.
