Universal Legacy Store Opens at CityWalk Orlando – Full Tour

The all-new version of the Universal Legacy Store has officially opened at Universal CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort. The re-imagined retail space has replaced the former Epic Universe Preview Center, which closed permanently earlier this month.

This new iteration of the Legacy Store features merchandise and photo opportunities inspired by fan-favorite attractions and films like Jaws, Back to the Future, E.T., and Universal Monsters. See the full photo and video report below for a look around this new store.

The new store features the art of Tom Whalen, including four larger than life photo ops based on four fan-favorite franchises.

In addition to the artwork seen around the store, Tom Whalen also created an original JAWS piece, which can be purchased as a print or can be found on many different pieces of merchandise as well.

The physical location had featured an earlier iteration of the Universal Legacy Store, which showcased original props and costumes from prior attractions on display, but this new version of the store does not. You can see our full report on that earlier store here.

Most of the store is made up of shelves of merchandise related to the four main properties, JAWS, Back to the Future, E.T., and Universal Monsters, but some additional properties are featured, and well as some UNIVRS, and a section of Mystery Mania blind boxes.

A selection of of the printed T-Shirts recently added to the resort can still be found here, remaining from the Preview Center.

The Universal Monsters section is one of the larger sections, featuring many items that can also be found in Epic Universe, including plush, keychains, apparel, and even collectible action figures.

The center of the store, where the Epic Universe model was located just a couple weeks ago, is now a “Mystery Mania” area. Here you can find a multitude of fandoms represented in all sorts of blind boxes.

The back-left corner of the store, closest to the cash registers, is designated for UNI VRS collection of clothing and accessories. It includes various properties like Happy Gilmore, Masters of the Universe, and Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.

And finally, the cash wrap area includes last minute snacks.

More changes are on the way for Universal CityWalk in Orlando, as the former Burger King Whopper Bar is being replaced by Five Guys later this summer, and the new Category 10 music and dining venue from Luke Combs is targeting a late 2027 opening.
