One of the most anticipated houses for Halloween Horror Nights 29 at Universal Orlando Resort has been announced. For the first time ever, Sony Pictures’ Ghostbusters is coming to the event as a haunted house, celebrating the film’s 35th anniversary.
This is the sixth house announced for this year’s event. Previous announcements include Stranger Things, Universal Monsters, Nightingales: Blood Pit, Depths of Fear, and Yeti: Terror of the Yukon. Halloween Horror Nights runs from September 6th through November 2nd in 2019, with 10 haunted houses, 5 scare zones, live entertainment and more. Learn more about this exciting new house below.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary, you’ll jump through the movie screen of the original 1984 film and walk through some of your favorite scenes like the New York Public Library, the Temple of Gozer and more.
In this haunted house, you’ll be transported to the streets of New York as the rift between worlds opens, releasing ghoulish spirits, hideous specters and ectoplasm-dripping phantasms in every shape and size. Come face-to-face with the voracious Slimer, the all-power Gozer the Gozerian, Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and more.
Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston will have to save the day as these paranormal creatures materialize in unexpected places – but will their proton packs be enough?
Prepare to bust some ghosts and meet Slimer this fall when Halloween Horror Nights returns on select nights from Sept. 6 – Nov. 2. The 80s return with a vengeance with 10 totally terrifying haunted houses, 5 pulse-pounding scare zones and outrageous live entertainment. From cinematic screams to the most horrifying cult classics, there’s no escape from the decade that just won’t die.

This is awesome. I vastly prefer the existing IP houses than the originals. I hope there is a 3D one this year. I like that added element.
