The new Tribute Store for the summer at Universal Orlando opened today, and for the first time it’s celebrating a new ride opening, as well as a whole film franchise in general. The retail location features big dinosaurs, themed treats, fun Easter eggs and screen-used props from Jurassic World, Jurassic Park and more.

Usually the Tribute Store celebrates an event, like Halloween Horror Nights, but this new Jurassic World Tribute Store is taking the same extravagantly designed retail concept and applying it to a film franchise. Check out the video for a complete walk-through of the new shop, and learn more about the different themed rooms with the full photo report below.

Let’s take a photo tour through the entire Tribute Store, starting at the entrance. The store is located in the New York section of Universal Studios Florida, just to left of Revenge of the Mummy.

After passing through the entryway, the first room is the VelociCoaster Control Room. Here you can find VelociCoaster branded merchandise and a customization station to get things like phone cases with your name on it.

You can also get Grand Opening VelociCoaster merchandise at the Tribute Store.

The first of two Mold-a-Matic machines can be found in this room. This one is for a T-Rex. They are $6 each.

Each of the Tribute Store rooms are filled with references to the films and hidden Easter Eggs, like the classic tour screen and Dennis Nedry’s stress doll from the original Jurassic Park.

The next room is the Raptor Paddock. Here you can purchase new and existing Jurassic World and Universal Studios merchandise, including shirts, pins, hats and more. There are three raptor figures on display here. You may recognize these figures as they have traveled the world in 2015 promoting the first Jurassic World film.

Next is a hallway that takes you to the old abandoned Visitors Center’s laboratory, where they used to make the dinosaurs for the old park. The hallway shows art in the style of the original Jurassic Park film, but aged with time.

Recreated set pieces from Jurassic Park, made too like they’ve been reclaimed by nature, fill the room, including the hatchery and cold storage area of the Visitor Center.

There’s this mural which could be seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. A lighting effect with thunder sounds reveals a T-Rex shadow on the mural randomly.

You can purchase classic Jurassic Park merchandise in this room, as well as the full line of Mr. DNA items, including new items that are coming out this week.

You can find (at least) three Compys hidden around this room, and sound effects of them scurrying about can be heard.

Mixed in with the recreated sets are screen-used props from the original Jurassic Park trilogy.

This room also has the second Mold-A-Matic machine.

The final room of the Tribute Store features a Triceratops photo op, and many tasty treats available for sale.

You can also find Camp Cretaceous merchandise around the Triceratops.

There are several treat stands, but only one cashier station near the exit, similar to previous Tribute Stores.

One of the stands, for Dino Chow, is themed with dinosaur foods, but reportedly will have some human food later as well.

Here is the full menu for all of the items available, followed by photos of the sweet treats.

One of the most interesting treats is the Gummy Amber Candy. It has an edible frosting printout of a bug inside but looks really neat.

Another unique treat are these massive chocolate eggs. They have a random chocolate dinosaur inside!

On your way out, there’s one last hallway featuring the same poster designs for Jurassic World attractions that you can find near the locker stations at the VelociCoaster.

And one final surprise at the exit, is the actual screen-used statue of John Hammond that was used in the filming of the Jurassic World film. This statue can be seen in the Innovation Center sequences from the film!

That’s all for now, but be sure to check out our recent review of the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, as well as our video and photo report from the queue.

Any idea how long it’ll be open? We’re coming in September and I’d love to see it!

Not sure how long it’ll stay open. Universal has only said “through the summer.”

Hello do the Halloween horror nights and Jurassic world tribute shops remain open all year round and more than just a year or are the tribute stores only during the month of a event or new ride/ attraction being opened

    • Admin

They are usually only set up seasonally. HHN Tribute Store is open throughout the Fall, Christmas Store through the winter, Mardi Gras through Spring, and then one for summer. Universal has said the Jurassic World store will remain open “through the summer.”
